I’m Shibu Meher, a PhD student at the Materials Research Centre, Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, where I work at the interface of Computational Science and Materials Physics. My doctoral research focuses on Computational Materials Science, leveraging first-principles simulations, high-throughput screening, and machine learning to study the thermodynamic, electronic, optical, and magnetic properties of materials—especially quantum defects for emerging technologies. Currently, I’m honing my skills in Artificial Intelligence, Quantum Computing, and Scientific Software Development, aiming to integrate these technologies into materials research and beyond.
Outside the lab, I enjoy calisthenics, coding, running, and reading, and I’m passionate about continuous learning and exploring new technologies.
